How to Operate your Roller Shutter

TO OPEN: pull straight down. If tape is not pulled straight, it will rub and fray on the edges.

TO CLOSE: hold cord firmly, pull straight out from the control box toward your body and lower gently.

DO NOT LET GO OF THE CORD AND LET THE SHUTTER DROP.

There is no need to grease or oil the winch mechanism.

Turn the handle to raise or lower the shutter. Be careful NOT to overwind as this will cause the cable to unravel and tangle inside the pelmet box. There are “stops” fitted to the bottom slat on the outside so try not to let these hit the pelmet box.

Winches can make a grinding noise when winding up and down. This is only the cable rolling over itself inside the winch and is normal.

The switch has 3 positions – UP, STOP and DOWN.

The shutter will stop automatically when it reaches its upper and lower limit.

There are 2 types. First is a single button operation. The 1st push of the button will operate the shutter. The 2nd push will stop the shutter. The 3rd push will operate the shutter in the opposite direction.

The second type uses 3 buttons. 1 for up, the middle one for stop and the 3rd for down.

If your Remote Control or Wireless Switch Units don’t work, try changing the batteries. If this does not fix the problem, please don’t hesitate to ring for service.
